ok heres my specs

-intel core i7 920 2.67 ghz
-asus p6t se mobo
-kingston 666mhz 3x2gb ram
-palit geforce 250 gts 1gb (basically a 9800gt rebranded)
- ATA device 5900 rpm 1tb hdd
-around 600w power supply

i think that's all

i've been wanting to upgrade my comp since alot of time, now since i can't play crysis 3 i've finally decided to look out for some new stuff.

if i don't go wrong first things i should change are the gpu and the ram, followed by a faster hdd (possibly with an ssd) and eventually a better power supply if necessary. tips?

rams fine but pretty week, go for a 1333Mhz DDR3 if your motherboard allows it
processors fine tbh, it's intel core i7, that's like as great as mine if it had higher speed.
HDD is fine, don't bother with SSD.
could use a huge boost in video card, but not entirely necessary. heres mine http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1967386&CatId=7387

tbh I don't see why your PC couldn't run crysis. Your major flaw is your power supply. Your video card alone takes 450w, are you sure your power supply is only 600w?

edit: oh, crysis doesn't have directX 9? That's actually very strange, in that case I'd suggest just getting a video card supporting directX11. Not rare at all these days.

Try to find a 3.2ghz processor not necessary but it will help out .
Try getting a 1333Mhz DDR3 for RAM as Allie said.
As for GPU if you want a good one for under $100 I have two for you. One from Nvidia and one from AMD
AMD: http://www.amazon.com/EAH6670-DIS-1GD5-Radeon-128-bit/dp/B004X8EODY/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1361826114&sr=1-2&keywords=radeon+hd+6770
Nvidia: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-2048MB-Graphics-02G-P4-2643-KR/dp/B0086UXQES/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1361826200&sr=1-1&keywords=nvidia+gt+640

Power Supply: I really think you need 750w or more

If you want you can try getting this GPU http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00966IU4M/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p147_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1R5ZKDC046ZQVS4JBB0V&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

IDK your budget lol or else I would reccomend a lot better products

i mainly wanted to get a new gpu because i know its horrible & i want to play crysis. not that it's the main reason for updating shiz but it counts.

due to the low budget (dont know exact price but i know its low) i wanted to get a gpu + whatever decent component i could afford, so i thought to some new ram.

@power supply im not sure about the exact amount but i'm quite sure it's between 600 and 650w.

@magics gpu ya a friend of mine has the gtx 650 and i wanted to get it too. my power supply wouldnt stand that would it?

tyvm for the comments i have a clear idea on wut to do now
