If I can get a few people that want to play on a server together I wouldn't mind hosting. Last time I did this we ended up getting 14hrs~ of fun out of it, so I figured why not try it again.

I wouldn't wanna host it with any less than 4 people playing.

It's kind of wrong to say 2d minecraft. Minecraft is more building, less fighting. I'd imagine there are less then 15 mobs in minecraft.

In terraria there are: 17 early game mobs(22 if you count rare occurrences), 10 extra mid-game mobs, 19 extra late-game mobs, and 30 extra hard mode mobs.

This doesn't count the 6 bosses or the 2 really random "boss" fights.
