game time costs 15$ for 30 days of gametime  and you have to have gametime to be able to play

if u buy yearly subscription I think it costs less though idk

the game comes with a month of free game time if I recall correctly

I tend to spend more than 15$ on online games anyway. Maybe that's because i'm normally pretty invested into the games I play, idk. I bought wow and had fun for the time that I played it. I'd recommend getting it especially with the sale.

So, 5$ for up to cata (i paid 80$ for up to cata before mists) and 30 days of sub.
10$ for the upgrade to mists (does not give game time). It normally costs 40$, so it's time if you ever want to play in the future.
