I know it's a good thing to have it using a high % of your cpu (means it's doing nothing) BUT, what if it's high and you ARE doing something (running an fps game at 30%cpu). Any ideas?

No, in all realness, System Idle Process is just there for the system to know what resources are not being used, so it can allocate it to other processes, this shouldn't affect how the game is played atall.
