New Item - Admin Verified Seller Badge

My idea is a new in-game item called Admin Verified Seller Badge

This badge has no in-game functions and cannot be equipped or used, similar to a snowball

The purpose of the badge is to prove to people that you are an admin verified membership/zylon coin seller

So when you are going to buy from someone on the admin verified list.. you ask to see their badge. If they cant show it to you.. they are a scammer and you can report them right away. The badge will be untradeable so that it will always stay with that account.

This should effectively eliminate the 'fake being someone on the admin verified list 'scamming which has been pretty bad

So you make a few membership/zylon coin sells.. then you show a staff member. If they can confirm the sales, you are eligible to be added to the admin verified list. First you have to agree that if you are ever found to be account sharing or selling your account, all of your accounts will be banned. This is to prevent the account from changing hands and someone else pretending to be that person and abusing the badge. Then if you agree to those terms, you will sent an admin verified seller badge and once you get it, you can be added to the list.

If you ever don't want to be on the list any longer, you just tell staff and they will remove your badge and name from the list.

How does that sound?

So your gr8 plan is to cause an influx of scams to get a few verified sellers? gr8 idea m8

That's how the list has always worked. You show that you are a successful, non scamming, membership and/or zylon coins seller.. and you get added to the list

Not sure why you think that would be any reason for an 'influx of scams' ..

Here's the way it'd work in my head:

Announcement is made saying that a new 'badge' is made that verified sellers will have. The post then explains that to become verified you have to show 5 proof of purchases for membership/zc.

Now you have a bunch of scammers in the lobby saying they're selling membership/zc, and they're not verified because they have yet to get 5 proof of purchases.

as the person who currently checks this stuff.  The person has to be using a verified pay pal and has to have several transactions already.

Instead of having a badge, it would just be easier if while in the trade their name was a different color and no where else.
Then we could easily change someones name color or what ever when we choose to remove them.

This would also be timed, you will lose this text color or badge when:
3 months has passed without a single sale
you have scammed someone
you have sold your account or it has been compromised

Why put a time limit? I've been on the seller list ever since it was created it pretty much, no reason I should get removed after a certain amount of time.

Just an idea to keep the list fresh (even though it's just us two atm lel).  A lot of people forget they are on the list, so perhaps if they haven't made a single sale in 3 months we would at least require them to verify they'd still like to be on it verbatim so that we don't refer buyers to them for nothing.

Also for the meantime, I will edit the list to have the sellers forum name with their Private Message box linked along with their in-game names so that there is no confusion and someone can't pretend to be another forum user (they'd just have to watch out for typo's).

Why would it even matter if they forgot they are a verified seller?

Anyways +1 for something along the lines of this (like color but needs something a bit diff, see below for why.) However no for the badge it seems rather annoying and just takes up space, not like Ross will partake in this.

Few things for this tho:

1. How would the color work? Have something like a purple name in lobby list while there in lobby? What if new things come out so that people will have a colored name in the lobby (/member shop / tittles / bla bla.) They can't have more than 1 on. However they could add something to let you select what color you want to be displayed as. But this is just gonna give people a headache.

2. Seems like the verified people may cause a mess in scams. While RK is suggesting verified for trade that involve real money, it will be costly to do this, just to get verified, then abuse it to trick people and scam them. Or they may go and sell there acc, account share etc. It sorta sets it up like bait.

3. Why simply membership / ZC? There are other things people can scam. Plus there are trustworthy people who don't sell that shiz. This Might make people to spend their money simply to get into this "list," can't say that as a negative or as a positive though.

Derp.

There were 3 main questions (ignoring sub-questions) which was the first line; "Why would it even matter if they forgot they are a verified seller?", then #1 and #3. #2 in the list was not even a question. It was a statement that people can use it to abuse until ofc they are caught, well after they go and scam 100b gigas.

"Answer to ross' first questions"

*completely ignores Ross' first question on how foretasting ur verified even matter.* Answers question 1, failed to realise #2 was not a question, but highlighted the bottom bit about removeing it, question # 3 was never answer, leaving no more, but then you posted about the rest of Ross' answers. So maybe the next part is for #3?

#1 Ok, at first Ross thought it was not possible to change in-trade color, talked to Allie and the info was outdated.

Noooooope. Nothing at all to do with #3. Nice.

Don't know what this 2nd one is even answering for Ross.

And now to bring up the first one...

Why would it even matter if they forgot they are a verified seller? Plus if every time they go into a trade and they find out their name color is diff you would think they would clue in?  ::)

I'm surprised you're having difficulty finding the answer to your questions with the answers right above it.

1) how does forgetting you are verified matter? Speaking in current context (where there is no colored name or badge) It's just to currently refer buyers to active sellers.  Why put 12 verified people on a list if 10 of them will say "no I'm not selling right now"? That would just piss off the buyer and make them waste their time thinking we have an outdated list. If a seller that was previously verified becomes active again they can ask to be put back on.

2) You asked how will the color work? which is why I stated it should only be in the trade screen only because even staff who have different colored text in the lobby....have black text in the trade?

3) I also said people would lose their text / verified status if they scammed or their account was hacked or sold. That's after going through the verification process, who is going to spend that much real money to get colored text and find someone dumb enough to get massively scammed just so that they can be banned?

4) He's referring to the verified sellers list for membership and zc that tricky made soooo did you miss the memo? That's why we're only talking about said subject.

btw all of what I just said is not new info  ::)
