Oldies are people who played BOTS since 06, like me.  And those of us who played BC since it was first released.  I myself being the first person other than Allie and Kenny to ever play BC since they are the ones that made it.  I've been with BC back when we were just a hacking website for BOTS, before even talk of a private server began.
