Hello,

I just found it's illegal, this private server.
It's illegal because you sure can have a private server but you can't sell any stuff like in the zylon shop wich is from the original game wich is BOTS by acclaim.
You guys sure are lucky that police haven't been on you're door yet.
Like they did with rapidshare or megaupload this site doesn't have any porn etc on it but still  
Altough if you made a agreement with Acclaim, it is legal.

If it weren't a dead game that this PS is based off of it would be a bigger deal. The police won't get involved unless the company that owns the game wants them too. So its probably okay.

Technically it is actually not illegal. After Acclaim was bought by Playdom they basically scrapped all entities acclaim published except for 9 dragons.

Most private servers are deemed illegal due to violation of copy right however since the original developer and publisher (Nlog & Acclaim) are no longer actual entities they have no grounds to file legal action against Zylon, especially because Acclaim sold all their titles and Playdom scrapped it.

They can sell what ever they like basically. Not to mention Zylon Coins are completely their creation and though they emulate acclaim coins it is not directly a reflection of them

My guess is that Acclaim was already contractually bound to selling their intellectual property to Playdom at the time and they didn't care about it anyway. Any kind of action they might have tried to take is unknown to me because I didn't know allie or santa at the time.
