PvP Collection Event

Event Dates: 3/1/2015 - 3/7/2015

Objective

Defeat your friends in Individual PvP and collect 5 Green Chests per day of the event.

Prize

A brand new item, that will be disclosed after the event is over!

Notes

1.) You cannot collect a Green Chest from another player that is 50 levels lower than your own level.
2.) If you complete 1 day of the event, you will receive a 7 day version of the new item!
3.) If you complete 2-3 days of the event, you will receive a 30 day version of the new item!
4.) If you complete 4-5 days of the event, you will receive a 1 year version of the new item!
5.) If you complete 6-7 days of the event, you will receive a permanent version of the new item!
6.) The Green Chests will drop at a 25% chance from each player.
7.) The new item will be tradable!!
8.) The game must last at least 1 minute before any Green Chests will drop.
9.) You cannot have the following tags enabled: Speed, Infinite Ammo, Auto Trans, No Trans, God, One Shot Kill, or Object Speed.

why wont levels higher then your own count? i understand lower, to prevent high level players from farming newbs, but if a lower level player kills a higher level player they definitely deserve a chest

this puts huge disadvantage on new/low leveled players because its much harder to find someone to play pvp who is low level

just to confirm, if i were to do up to the 6th day and skip the 7th i would still be able to get the permanent item right?

personally, i think that completing 3-5 days should give a 1 year duration of the new item

i think its too far of a drop off from 30 day to permanent  just from someone missing 1 day

i would make it

1-2  30 days
3-5  1 year
6-7  permanent

Yeah you can miss a total of one day of the event and get the permanent version still.

The new item is not a recolor of an existing item, it's a brand new model.

It has pretty neat colors, that I have found to match many items pretty well.

The stats are decently balanced, and not outrageous like some items.

my fav pvp event idea was when u had to kill staff members to get the rewards and staff were trusted not to trade kills. thats really the only way to avoid that problem i think. also players get to have fun and play with staff they might not get to normally. plus u got people who suck at pvp like me so all level bots had a chance to get the rewards.

^ Staff kills. As i've mentioned multiple times before, it worked so well last time with the bcv2 e.f . Not trying to be funny, but especially if you're playing a patch with full rt2 you got no chance with that td if you're a ram especially if they use upperII which most people will pretty much use as they'll try every advantage to get the chest.

Nevermind anyway though i'll still log and play for fun, good it's kills as most people tend to push so requires more time.

Drop rate is low because since it is pvp it makes it much easier to farm compared to sector.

30% would be overkill and everyone would have their chests in a matter of minutes. 10% was done with the intention of it not being too easy. Even so, keep in mind that you get 10% for each player in the room, not 10% for the whole room. So if there are 4-5 people in the room there's a pretty good chance you could get at least one chest.

As any other chest collection event ever created, yes.

Nope, there will be a few restrictions on the tags, such as one hit kill, god mode, or anything OP that will make the game go quickly.  I'll post a list later of what cannot be used.

You should allow object speed tag, I don't see how it makes anything easier rly. My favorite map is the one with the train, and putting train on full speed, haha XD. Makes the train actually dangerous, as supposed to an easy to avoid annoyance...

You should not play on Flop, but on New Transistor Valley.

It's not been just flop it happened also on login generator, and another i'll have to look on list to find it's name . (plus we don't want a repeat of sector do we just the same map over and over? farming for one reason not even playing proper matches)

Oh, was that the update earlier on? as my client did a patch earlier today. That's fair, i'd love to do it on holodeck if it wasn't for the chances of the box falling lol. May i ask, does that mean if 4-5people in a room it's near guranteed? (Not 100% since it's 25% each time)

A trick to time 1 minute without having to actually use a timer is:

• You can wait 6 trains to pass -- works only if you look the left side OR the right side. (It's not perfect because it's not 1train/10seconds
• You can wait until you're able to trans (without using charge, obviously), then wait around 5 to 10 seconds.

100% Yes, as due to issues in last event i think he took it into consideration this time. Plus it's stated before when people have asked .
