Uhm it just looks like you just splashed on renders and drew some lines. Honestly it's not good, I don't mean to be harsh. Ask someone in the community for some guides.

I like the idea.

1. Blend it more (possibly by making the background pinkish).
2. Add some C4D effects.
3. Orientate it slightly better.

I told him about the bg.
He just started making sigs, note this is his first sig.
I have no idea what 3 means :-\

concept is cool, but its as conner says... render sticks out too much.

try incorporating c4ds into the sig and messing with the layer settings.

overall as a first, its a definite 7/10. much better than my firsts, and also better than some of the firsts ive seen on this forum.

edit:
something to help with your placements (both text and render):

on the old bots forum, someone in gfx mentioned the "rule of thirds".  look it up... this is prob the best tip ive ever gotten for sig making.

<3. Connor, if it's that bad, then give me some tips. Don't just say it looks like crap. I'll work on getting better.

Currently, I'm still learning the functions of GIMP. :\

Read a few basic tuts and play around with GIMP until you're comfortable with it then move on to more advanced tuts.

Woo fer TTW.

I don't like the color of the text, and because its your first sig effects arent a priority. Other then the color of the text its really good for a first.

I SMELL META THERE

not bad, i like the line thingy and the light effect. try to get a render pasted in and mess with filters, and main tools: smudge, erase, gradient(for light effects) pentool or whatever you like using the most. with time youll use every kind of tool and memorize it so dont worry. also look for really basic tutorials, not just signature tutorials but also basic gimp toolsfunctions/filters tutorial and whatever you want to learn.

This is why you type one sentence per line, Jeff.
Correct his run-ons.
