The same problem is happening to me as well but i have Toshiba satellite l550 with Windows 7 professional 64bit, my system restore doesn't work nether but i have always just ignored that problem.

1. Turn your computer off.
2. Turn it on.
3. While the 'HP - Hewlett Packard' logo is on the screen, press 'esc.'
4. Choose the system recovery option.
5. When the three columns appear, choose the second option on the far left column.

And there you have it =D

From some system command, the guy already tried it. He said he could access it if I had guest account activated, but I kept it off to reduce computer usage.

If you can, try typing 'rstrui.exe' and clicking enter. Might have the same problem.
