Asteroids? Nope. Not a single rock would hit Earth. Since the Yellowstone super-volcano erupts, a gigantic chunk of earth would be flying with its smaller debris counterparts, raining down on the nearby regions, with prodigious range. That single eruption would probably activate the strongest, egregious earthquake. With it, the tectonic plates would shift with insanity. Mountain ranges are all screwed up. Hence tsunamis would follow, but that is NOT one of the main factors(even if it washes people and shit away).
The core would collapse on itself, yes(without explanation why). So, with the plates broken and weakened, Earth would just disintegrate itself. Believe it or not that is it. Now religious peeps, add your phrases into this. For only those that are faithful and loyal gets redeemed.
