To me what I got the vibe that what Selene meant was "This is a piece of shit thread" which I believe murder picked up as well.
He used an Oxymoron to portray that Selene was not actually acting sweet.

He got offended by something that wasn't directed at him in any way whatsoever, so he responded offensive by acting like how I said.
I don't enjoy seeing such answers so I took action, he then proceeded to act in the same way which gave Toast the right to close the thread.
