This is mainly because I love PvPing, but I also love sectoring as well. It will be hard for me get gp while being a surge, and I remember being upset at myself for wasting so many coins to transformations before, but now not many people are surges and I REALLY want to PvP as a surge!

I've been a surge since lv1-180+
Around lv 192-195  was the first time I changed to patch to try out  level 228.

Also you could still be good at pvp as a Patch. ;o

Depends on your experience as playing that bot.Surge is recommended for pvp but you will be amazed that people can pwn in pvp with ram or patch.
If you fell more confortable with patch its better to be patch. If youve been long enough patch youll find it quite hard to get used to another bot type.
Surge or Patch for sector patch is more recommended than surge since patch does do deal more damage than a surge
