kirby one looks pretty cool, text stands out well and kirby seems to match pretty well in the background (but could blend better)
sub zero sig is worser compared to the kirby signature and the text on the sub zero sig is bad

Yeah, I think Kirby's feet kinda stick out, and the first Kirby one is the best imo, so fixing that would help.

Whenever you have a GFX question, just ask someone and/or google it.  I'm sure MSNing someone or searching 'shrink render size in [photoshop/gimp]' would get great results.
