And just a suggestion, could you make 1 + x giveaways per event such that:
x = (m of gigas you got from people) divided by (m of gigas you want until you decide one more giveaway)
x should obviously be an integer when rounded down.

And after the first giveaway, the first winner is not allowed to win again until the next event, unless he's given more than a certain amount of money?
Or make a separate event for those who get their names for free and those who paid for better chances.
