Maybe it's like that lag I've seen in sector mode that even after everyone dies you're stuck in the sector room. Just exit the room next time or if it doesn't let you close the game and re-start the launcher.

Two possible glitches one being ping, but if everyone left and it did not fix it, then it would be a relay glitch. Both were fixed a few months ago, most likely a relay server one.
