I managed to get up to kowbat solo but he's too damn strong.
Most of the time I take too many bullets and die.

You don't have to kill kowbat.
I realized that the game ends if I push 3 mobs ( or sometimes 2), make sure you don't push any mobs except for kowbat

war chern does not attack so I would combo him and leech some hp
Kowbat is bugged and cannot be hit sometimes, and it always takes me to red eventough my hp is full

I got a tactic for killing war chern which allows me to emerge unscathed, leeching some hp 

Kowbat is easy if you just take your time with it. Make sure you take every chance to avoid being hit and don't go for a risky attack. The only problem I face is the fking xabaras where I always leave it at red hp when it kills me. 20 mins wasted.

Xab is easy, just gun spam him then rush spam him.
