As far as the UI goes, GIMP does have its downside with several windows and sometimes being stuck behind other windows, but its uses are more user friendly and can make anything just as good as photoshop can.

By saying photoshop can do a lot more, I can comeback at that with GIMP has options photoshop doesn't.
