If you have absolutely no clue how to PvP at all, start by simply jump attacking and then running away. Hit and run is an easy way to start getting the idea of how the game works. That's how I learned anyways. =P

A player gets better at PvP from first hand experience.

Agreed, experience is a great way to improve your overall skills in pvp. lag does have a huge role in pvp at times unless both players know how to face lag. I've heard of "one sided" lag, but I am unfamiliar with that type of lag since I never know how bad i lag for someone.

I can consider myself a good pvper Becuase i know how to avoid Lag hits and Evade teleport [  (Pfff!)]
and i would be more than happy to help you a bit, give you some taktics, (can't teach you to be the best pvper, that you will have to do on yourself) teach you some tricks to push, kill, run, etc.
