need youtube help

my youtube account is named CookyHS  but when you go to www.youtube.com/cookyhs  it doesn't work, but other channels can use this method to get to their channel 

instead, people have to go to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo6V7mmSLS4owPXKKYSm3Hw

why is that the link to my channel and not just /cookyhs ?

anyone can help please?  :(

go to settings and change your url to cookyhs

you need to verify your account first through settings, and possibly through adsense.

I remember doing mine through phone verification, so now it goes straight to www.youtube.com/showeringthoughts
