I am 100% sure you are wrong because in THIS  server , the barrels drop items also ( very low chance )

So with a 10,000 - 1 ratio theres no way of getting an item so all that will drop is a mob I win!

If anything, put it in calculus.
Limit it to 0, the closer to 0 it is, the more impossible it is.
But it's not impossible unless it hits 0, thus the problem.
Even with said limit, it's possible until it hits 0, which 0.01 is not.
Therefore, it's possible, not impossible.

Note: There is not just 1 person playing the game thus the chances of some one in the game getting a drop is higher then one person trying to destroy that many. Also just because it is 1/10000 chance doesn't mean that it will drop on the 10,000th there is a chance to drop before it.
