To hide your IP and avoid IP Bans or other stuff.

The best way people found for logging who others are, and for a sense of banning someone is their IP. By using a proxy you send your data to that "server" and the proxy sends the information to the site using their IP. So lets say you get banned on your IP, by changing it (for example a proxy) you will use a new IP that won't be banned. Something like twitter it only allows one vote per IP. Thus the reason for a proxy.

There are many ways to use proxy's. For example goggling it to find a web proxy where you can enter a URL using it. (ex: https://proxyxtreme.com/index.php#.TzNcNOSbolo) Most beginners use this kind, and its not all that good. Or you can even use a add on for Firefox called FoxyProxy. There are many other ways but Ross is too lazy to explain.
