Because of my new job I've been able to save up a fair bit of money and will continue to save up. To keep on working i needed some motivation - something to look forward to / work towards; therefore deciding to save up for a laptop. Not just an ordinary laptop, i'm looking for a top of the range gaming laptop to maybe even replace my desktop.
The one I'm really eager to get is the Alienware 17x:
I'm willing to spend up to roughly £1300 on a gaming laptop, if I were to do that with this laptop the specs I would get are:
Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM (6MB Cache, up to 3.3GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)
2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660M
6144MB (1x2GB + 1x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
500GB 7,200rpm SATA 6Gb/s HDD
17.3" WideHD+ (1600 x 900 ) WLED LCD
The reason I made this topic was not to brag as i'm sure many of you have gaming laptops, I wanted to ask for some advice.
my question is "
are there any better alternatives to this for less wonga with equal to or better benchmarks + reviews?"
The trouble is i'm a novelty person, it's going to be really hard to change my mind from an alienware (many reasons for this: looks, popularity of the device, better support online due to popularity etc.), maybe you could recommend somewhere I could get one cheaper?. cheaper alternatives I've already found to the alienware are:
Dell XPS 17"
Dell Inspiron 17"
the trouble is not only are these similar prices but they have been slightly outclassed by the alienware in all reviews I've seen so far + look no way near as god damn sexy. Thanks if you actually bothered to read this, please reply soon <3
Edit: I'm UK, don't give me no god damn foreign websites.
