If so, all the items are illegal and will require manual deletion. I'll get on it eventually.

It's not antagonization. The items were on a banned account; items on banned accounts are not allowed to be touched or modified. In essence, since the account is banned, the items shouldn't exist anymore. They are now illegal items.

If I had given permission for gramps to be unbanned, it would be a different story. But since I explicitly gave a pretty large no to gramps' unban request, all items on the account are as good as deleted.
